FACT OR NOT

How do you think the testimony of Lorelle Henry will affect the decision of the jurors? Do you think they will vote guilty or not guilty based on the information that Mrs. Henry gave during her testimony? What facts did she offer? Do you think these facts are enough to send a man to jail for LIFE? What is you opinion of Mrs. Henry's testimony?

Guilty????

On page 140 Steve said..."Sunset admitted he did the crime. Isn't that what being guilty is all about? You actually do something?" Do you agree or disagree with Steve and why? Do you actually need to participate in anything criminal, illegal or morally wrong to feel guilty, or is knowledge of it just enough to feel guilty?

Inferencing

On page 140 of Monster Steve wrote the following in his journal: "What did I do? I walked into a drugstore to look for some mints, and then I walked out. What was wrong with that? I didn't kill Mr. Nesbitt... Sunset said he committed the crime. Isn't that what being guilty is all about? You actually do something?" Do you believe Steve only walked in there to get mints and nothing more? Do you think he denying his part to make himself feel better? What can you infer Steve is feeling as he sits in jail thinking about what he is being accused of? How do you know this is what he is feeling?
